The South West Lib Dem MP's, councillors and people who are fed up paying
the highest water bills in the UK will be handing out leaflets to the
shareholders.

South West Water's annual meeting is at Plymouth Pavilions at 11am on
Thursday. Meeting up at 10:00am

CAN YOU COME ALONG !.

The more the merrier, it is a disgrace that South West Waters profits have
jumped by 24% whilst they have hiked prices by over 9%.

South West Waters average bill is £449 a year, whilst the national average
is £293, which is still a high figure. Do remember this is the average, many
pensioners and other customers are paying well above this sum. We have been
promised that bills will carry on rising.

Pass this message on to as many people as you can, let SWW know we have had
enough.

Water is a need not a commodity to make obscene profits from.

Do hope to see you there.

Ray

You aren't a shareholder then? That is good business practice. You omit how
much they have spent in improving infrastructure.

Perhaps the average water board doesn't have the sea on three sides and a
government that insists on the sea being clean? Perhaps you would rather
live in London or Birmingham.

Dig a well and ask for a water meter.

Then the govt should help out as it's rather unfair - particularly as
Cornwall is the poorest area in the country.

At least you can earn a living there. Cornwall may be beautiful but you
can't eat the scenery.

Water meters are fine unless you have a family to keep clean.
