Call for support for moderation of this group

In the last few years we have lost many useful contributors to this
group mainly, I feel sure, by the ludicrous postings of Paranoids and
'god freaks'.
I propose that the sensible members either invoke a moderation regime
should this be possible, or start another group uk.local.Kernow which
is moderated in a light handed way

Happy to help with the abuse for god bothering and wierdos but I'm not
supportive of any censorship, having said that I would very much like
this group to actually be about Cornish items however apathy speaks
volumes.

That is a clear contravention and spammers should be discouraged, not
the same as censorship because it has a commercial element. If they
want to advertise then pay for it like all other businesses have to.

Having said that what would a moderator do about the Christian god
squad for example, they have their right to bombard us with their
nonsense? or if they were extreme Muslims? would they get the same
treatment?

You are posting to a newsgroup set up by the government to
plug the gaps created by the abysmal failure of their
Psychiatric Care in the Community Policy. The uk.local hierarchy
was devised to provide an outlet for individuals who would
otherwise spending their days sitting at home wearing
an aluminium foil hat waiting for a full moon to rise. It was
also hoped that this would reduce the incidence of nutters out there
howling at the moon and frightening the shite out of their neighbours.
It failed in this objective. Neither has it distracted them enough to
divert them from randomly kniffing every thing in sight.
The reason for failure is quite simple, they became infested with the
chattering classes. This in turn squeezed out those who could have
benefited most.It seems that the incesant mindless middle class
politically correct small talk was doing their head in. Give the
articulate middle classes a chance and they will screw up anything.

This newsgroup is a very good example of another NuLabour failure.
