Well Jon I am in the Midlands but I love East Devon so I am probably
an honary citizen as I try and get there every year.
Will be there for the Branscombe beer festival next year.
We may meet one of these years.

It would be a pleasure, I only wish trips back to the UK were at a more
relaxed pace so travelling & meeting up with all & sundry could really
happen in real time. Most my family from the UK now live in Spain so even
less reason to head to Devon now than I had before & all properties are now
sold so it may stay that way for a while. Mind you visits to Spain can be at
a very relaxed pace, for some reason time goes into slomo until the last
couple of days which fly by ?????

That anywhere near Rolla Costa :-) Just kiddin'.....you are right my family
are in Orihuela Costa too, My Sister, her husband & two kids are in El
Galan, San Miguel De Salinas (less than 10 mins away) & My Mum & Dad are in
Orihuela Costa (proper) on Calle Victoria.
Small world innit, I know the area quite well having driven around there for
two weeks straight, what part is your sister in?

new build areas .
A favourite place of mine is the Mirada , close by the La Zenia hotel,
a bar , restaurant with swimming pool. There you can have fresh
sardines with olives and crusty bread washed down with San Miguel
sitting on a terrace overlooking the Med .....larrrrvley

I've been there several times & have photos taken from both the Mirada
Restaurant & Bar & also from the beach below with the La Zenia Hotel up on
the low cliff above. Great Place! My mum & Dads place is less than a ten
minute drive from there.
Your sisters place is just about five mins closer to Torrevieja than my
parents, I know that area quite well too as it's near Punta Prima where we
often go as well.

One of my fav shows from the UK is Cornwalls Wycliffe, I have them all
burned to DVD, as much for the scenic locations & memories as for the great
tales, Doc Martin is outstanding too. Mind you everything Martin Clunes does
it great! My Stepfather who I grew up with is from Falmouth & my Fathers
family were from Newquay, My Mum is from The South Hams in Devon so I'm a
definite Southwesterner despite my travels.

Hello, I have watched this newsgroup for a few months
now, and man is it slow. I just look through it once in a
while, just to see if anyone here. I was lucky enough to
have spent a week in Polzeth 2 years ago, and had a
