Can any one put this into perspective for me?
The last three stanzas have me baffled.
Where does the Devil come into this?
Kev.
Thanks in anticipation.
Yes it's quite simple - the devil is in fact stronger than God,
(otherwise God would get rid) but god does not want you to know this &
so works on the principle that if I say I am almighty etc often enough
then many will actually believe it.

The devil on the other hand has no need to prove himself and just gets
on causing war and famine and disease and generally enjoying himself.

I thought the cause of all the "war and famine and disease" was actually
religion and not the devil.

There have been more wars, chaos and catastrophe caused in the name of an
imaginary god than there have ever been in the name of the 'devil'.

Any religion should come with the following warning: "Religion kills, so
practice it at your own risk"
